Help me identify this plant, I donât know WTH I bought! 😂 Iâve been seeing these and theyâve been on my âbuyâ list, but I wasnât going to get anything tonight. But then I saw the pink spots on this and was like âOooo!â Then I found an echeveria âPearl Von Nubergâ and âCubic Frostâ leaf sprouting roots and was like âWell, I donât have shirt pockets... maybe put them in my hood?â Then I found a Sedum rubrotinctum âAuroraâ leaf and so... 🤭 #plant-id #id #help-id
Christmas Tree Cactus maybe? If you look it up on here, Everyoneâs has far fewer leaves, and what ones theirs do have tend to be red. Mineâs got lots of large, not red leaves. ONE has a small red-ish spot that looks like cherry kool-aid spilled and dried on it. But thereâs a lot of possible explanations for these differences.
@gjones @cyndi I originally didnât think you were right, because images just werenât matching. THEN I found images/articles about the monstrose (commonly called âChristmas treeâ) and dwarf monstrose (commonly called âGumbyâ) cultivars of Eveâs Needle, and they match up much more. Time will tell if itâs dwarf or not, and it may even start to look like regular Eveâs Needle. I donât think any of these plants look right when we first buy them, they spend so much time in such low light conditions.
