Help me identify this plant pretty please! #id #plant-id #help #help-id Was sold as “Apricot Purslane” However, thats not really. Enough. And I’m starting to wonder if it’s even purslane. It seems to be a confusing plant family. 🐶 Flower for reference. New growth comes in green. Takes full sun and heat. Flowers last 1 day. No blooms in rain (they melt like tissue paper)
@cyndi That explains my confusion. I did not believe the ornamental types we grow could be the same spp. as the wild type which has barely noticeable yellow flowers. So I’ve not been looking it up. I had 2 wild ones growing under my tomatoes this year that I let stay, thinking it would put on a show like this one. 😂 I was a little disappointed to say the least. Now I find out not only is it very nutritious, but I could have used it to cross with my Apricot! To think I pulled it up 🙈
