Help me identify this plant - was in a friend’s house and I LOVE it!! The plant was inside but can be grown outside as well apparently?

Welcome Helen! If you want to be more precise with ID this is Oxalis triangularis #oxalistriangularis . It can be grown outside in the pot to be ready to move inside for the winter, not frost hardy.
