Popped a handful of extra peanuts from the farmers market into the ground on a whim, and hot damn! 🥜 We've got nuts! 🥜 Our house is in near-disarray if there's not a pot of boiled peanuts cooking, so these guys are definitely getting a permanent space in the garden. Highly recommend growing, plus their little yellow flowers are adorable. 🌼 #peanut #growyourown

So how many peanuts do you get off one plant? I've never grown them.

@eroberts.teach We had I think 5 plants and they produced about 1.5 pounds of peanuts total. I think that might be on the low side of yield (I'm seeing it should be about 25-50 nuts per plant), so I'll try a spot with fuller sun next time!

Cool. I may try some next year. I've never had a boiled peanut before.

They are really easy to grow! They definitely need lots of spreading room!
