Hi Diane - this plant was linked to a hibiscus record that another user created that unfortunately we have had to remove as it was not a recognised variety. In doing so, the photos were moved to a generic record of hibiscus (rose mallow) as that was appropriate for their photo. However, we couldn’t split yours off and it moved as well. We wanted to let you know as it might be more appropriate for you to edit the tag to tropical hibiscus instead. We apologise for the inconvenience

Sadly when we delete a plant record all the users linked to it move at the same time and currently we can’t separate them off. But hopefully you will be happy to edit it yourself back to an appropriate tag. The reason the old one was removed is because Tricolor’ is not a true variety as such as technically they are usually three different varieties planted together (with unknown names). But you can still tag as a tropical hibiscus and use your own hashtags. apologies once again 👍🏼

If you are not sure how to edit it, just tag us back (or @usgardentags) and we’ll try and help

@gardentagsplantsteam Thanks for bringing this to my attention. No need to apologize at all. When I first got this hibiscus I was new to plants and I thought the three colours were all part of the same plant. It wasn’t until the red part of the plant died off that I realized it was probably 3 different plants in the pot. I should have edited the tag back then. I will do that right away. Thanks again. 😄

Thanks Katy. Am still deciding whether to overwinter her. She started as three plants in one pot and was a tricolour. Each Winter one plant dies off now there is just the one left. She only started flowering mid summer when she used to start in April. She is starting to get yellow leaves now. Think she is past her prime. 😢 @gjones

Not sure why they died back. I was figuring this last stem would die this Winter and was going to let the plant go. Now that it has started blooming and looking healthy I don’t know what to do. 🤔🤷‍♀️ @kez001uk
