#dappledwillow-hakuro-nishiki This lovely tree is going to have to come down in the fall. I planted it near the fence and the neighbours put a cedar hedge in. They never prune it so my willow has bent to get sun. Now the trunk is breaking off 😢

That's a shame, will you take cuttings? You can get big branches of Willow to root

I know Jason. I love this tree. I will try to root some branches. I managed to root some white willow shrub branches a few years back but they did not do well in the ground. Maybe a pot is better. 🤷‍♀️ @hebelover

The previous neighbours planted the cedar hedge 30 years ago and never pruned it once that we saw. The new neighbours don’t want to tackle the job either. We just cannot plant anything on that side of the yard. 🤷‍♀️ @midnightgardener

@hkyfvr I just can't stand selfish non gardeners. It's good you've got the right attitude but you shouldn't have to go to all that trouble. Especially if their trees/plants prevent you from gardening in you own place. It's a shame we can't choose our neighbours, for a fact I would get rid of my old tenants. I was so hurt that that woman never even expressed any condolences when my mum died. Awful selfish woman 😲🙄

Our previous neighbours were very into themselves. They would barely speak to us. They really kept to themselves and planted a forest of trees in their yard. When the man would come into the store I worked in he would always brag about his daughters and I would compliment them but he never asked about my 3 kids. Weird but I had to accept them the way they were so I would not get angry. Our other neighbours are great thank goodness 🤷‍♀️ @midnightgardener
