I'm not sure exactly what variety this is, because the pot very unhelpfully said "cyclamen". It had small, bubblegum pink flowers but they've all stopped now 🌸🙃. It's a weak little thing, so I'm proud it's still going 😅😂 and it's definitely doing better than the frilly one, which hasn't even got leaves currently 🙄 #cyclamen #iwillprobablykillthis
It's a florist cyclamen by the looks of it. Let the soil dry out between waterings and only water enough to make the soil moist, not wet. They're prone to crown rot so best to water from the bottom of the pot or around the edges of the pot. I seem to remember they don't like the temps to vary too much from day to night so best to keep it in a cool room. They need dormancy and minimal watering in summer to flower again next autumn. You might need to spray it fungicide to prevent mouldy soil. 😊
Thank you @ublaszko 😄 sounds like I've been doing the right stuff then (for once 😂😅). It's sat on an east-facing windowsill in a bathroom, so gets filtered light through the frosted glass in the mornings. Temp hardly changes in that bathroom ever, and stays quite cool all year round. I'm assuming my frilly cyclamen has already gone into its dormant period then (as it's dropped all leaves and flowers) so what should I be doing with that now? Thanks again 😊

@anges I do try not to 😩😨
I had a tiny one and overwatered it - binned it because it just went really soggy 😩
@anges oh don't worry about me over watering it 😨 I practically forget about it till its gone all droopy 😭 #badplantmumma
You'll be ok then! 😀

Great! 👍👍 You can stop watering them once they go dormant and keep cool. They need a cool dry period to flower well next autumn ☺
Thanks @ublaszko 😄 I love the GC community ❤
You're welcome 😊
