Planted a small longan tree today. I never have heard of it, and i googled it and it looks like a great fruit. Anyone ever tasted them? They are zone 8 to 10, i think im going to try some on my farm(9b). No space at my home garden which is also 9b weirdly. 😂 #trees #longantree #rarefruit #gyo #food #fruit #growyourown #summer #fruittree #garden #gardening #gardener #nature #happy #plants #entrepreneur #landscaper #naturephotography #landscaping #la #losangeles #cali #california #avocadoheights

Don't think I know this fruit. I also googled it. I love rambutan and genip (called chenette here in Trinidad) which are from the same plant family. Happy eating 😊

I don't think any of them are indigenous, but I love mangoes (firm, not ripe), pineapple, cherries, plums (different from that of the prunus family), and many others.

That's wonderful. I see a lot of exotic looking stuff advertising on TopTropicals.com Instagram page. E.g. just saw giant granadilla. We call that barbadine. I'm not a fan of that fruit, but my mom used to make icecream from it. Not bad.
