Glad I followed my dad's advice to cut this right back in its first year. Felt wrong at the time but now I count 29 flower buds! Exciting!

After its first year pruning. Stems have been cut back to leave 4/5 leaf buds. Felt quite harsh doing this but I am reassured that it will encourage a bushier plant with a good shape.
