@angipangi it not a papaver like the oriental Poppies but belongs to the same family papaveraceae 😀

My favourite leaf
Everything is growing mad this year I felt like a gnome
What is that tall plant on the left with the big leaves? Looks very interesting 👍
@jeatacake it's a plum poppy, they grow like triffids
I have not heard of them before. It certainly doesn't look a poppy, but I'm guessing its flowers do?
@jeatacake it's a Papaveraceae and watching the leaves you can see why but the flower is completely different it's like a plume
Just googled it under maclaeya & yes, I think I have seen it before. As you say, the flowers are nothing like a poppy.👍
