Did you pull off remaining leaves?? I only chopped the head and it hasn't done a thing...

@rennezoe If you look at the previous photos of it before I chopped the head there were no leaves on the stem so all I did was chop it and leave it, it did take quite some time before it did anything 😄

This guy had no luck rooting in soil, left him in there for weeks with no signs of roots! All he was doing was slowly dying! 💀 so I decided to put him in water 💧this is about 1 week of root growth! Seems to be working well ⭐️ #succulent #propagation #water #roots #graptopetalum

Is it a graptoveria Tricolour? and beheading is easy just chop with a clean blade a couple of inches down stem but the leave for 2 or so days to callus over before planting in free draining mix and dont over water .😆😆😆PS I love these ones .I have several 😍

Oh and if you repot the leftover stalk it may also sprout new plants

Yes it should be fine just let it callous first and then minimal water to stress it to root.If any leaves come off accidently they propagate really easily and youll get more!😆
