How are you Jeff? Have you been able to visit your place in Thailand? Hope you're well 😊

Hi Urszula. I'm doing alright thanks. Been in semi-hibernation here. Looking like it'll be next winter now before I get away over there. Hope you're fine and well 😊 @ublaszko

Hi Jeff, I'm well and enjoying the weather we've been having. I was ill all January and February so I'm delighted to be out and gardening again. ☺️ Took the opportunity to sow seeds I've never grown before while I was unwell so I'm looking forward to my gyo tomatoes, chillies and parsley etc.

So sorry to hear that but so glad you're better now. Sowing seeds, especially new ones, is a great aid to recuperation 😊🌱👍 @ublaszko

I agree, it made me feel better just knowing that there will be plants to plant out once I've recovered. I'm more or less back to my usual self so I've started planting perennials this week.

Winter & lockdown had been getting me down a bit, but now spring is here & seed sowing is well underway, I see everything in a different light. All so uplifting 😊🌞 @ublaszko

Glad you're feeling more upbeat. I felt pretty down when I was unwell because it kept dragging on and my brain didn't feel right. I struggle through winters anyway. This feels like a new lease on life. 😊 I have some dahlias seeds from Sarah in Kent. Dahlias 'Bishop's children'. I'm going to sow them tonight. 🥰

Thanks Urszula 😊 I'd definitely lost my gardening mojo, but it's back now for sure 👍 Sowing dahlia seeds now should give them enough time for a few flowers late summer/autumn 🤞 @ublaszko

Me too, nearly gave up on doing any gardening at all and starting a new garden from scratch felt pointless. What a dreadful winter that was! I'm glad I got a subscription to Gardens Illustrated for Christmas from my partner and it inspired me to buy new plants and get gardening again. I'm hoping my seed grown dahlias will produce a few flowers in autumn so that I can extend the flowering season. I'm still struggling with autumn colour because I don't like yellow or orange. 😂

It was a rotten winter & often colder than most recent ones. All the new growth is also a great boost to the soul. Hmmm, you may need some counselling for this yellow & orange phobia! 😁 Cosmos ants are late flowering & good for autumn colour in white and various shades of pink 👍
