That’s great love them
Holy smokes! That's going to be huge! Can you eat it?
#gunneramanicata
@cyndi they need lots of water 💦 and the leaves grow 6feet across easily and @lesliecole49 it is definitely not edible!
Does your neighbour like it Jeff? It is probably coming up on his side of the fence too 😂 looks very happy
Thank you my spokesperson! 😀 I couldn't have put it better myself 👍 This is still a baby Joan & a good 3 ft away from the fence. Social distancing gunnera style! @joanboston @cyndi @lesliecole49
If you have the space Sharon, where it's mostly shady & damp then I'd recommend one 👍 @sharonhayden
Oh sorry I thought that was the fence next to it😃
Ah no, that's one of my sheds. Maybe it'll pop up inside? 🤔 @joanboston
They are wonderful- there is a water garden nearby with them in - it’s too dry in my garden- nowhere really stays damp
We do get a lot of rain here. One might be OK if you have a spot where the roots & surrounding soil are in complete shade, so long as you water it well in summer @sharonhayden 👍
13/5/2022 2 flower shoots this year👍
Off to a very promising start Jeff 👍🏼
It’s a wonder it doesn’t knock the shed down Jeff!
Thanks Angela @italydiva & Karen @KOutdoors It gets a bit bigger & more robust each year 👍
I think it's probably helping to hold the shed up! @joanboston
I’m not sure what is holding our shed upJeff 🙈
😄😄😄 @joanboston
I've always wanted one but my garden is small I'd be afraid it taking up so much space
They do take up lot of room when in full leaf, but do well even in a shady corner where mine is. @alan1111
Maybe one day I'll be brave enough 😅
