Watch out for the 'piders! 😱🕷

Yes you're right, some very poisonous ones here, but the pesky mozzies here are more of a concern at the moment. Must have about 50 bites 😟 @rachelbrooks

Ow! Itchy! 😫 don't know how readily available marmite/vegemite is in Thailand but apparently if you eat that it deters them...🤔

Not so keen on the stuff @rachelbrooks & certainly not seen it here. Trying a few local suggestions now!

Oh good luck! 👍🏼

@italydiva Just planted mine out this morning. I just looked at the label too & it's a Japanese variety, not Ethiopian as I had thought! ☺️
Looking very healthy Jeff. Certainly taller than mine by the looks of it 👌 Have you placed it in your garden or your allotment?
Japanese or Ethiopian? Who cares…they’re all fab!
This is another new one on me...
Thanks Angela. It's grown a bit since April last year when I got it. It's also got through winter in much better shape than others I've had before, so I'm quite hopeful for this one 🙏 I agree, as I love them all. I've seen some weird & wonderful ones in the Far East, but I think this is one of the hardiest varieties. @italydiva
Sorry, I forgot to say that it's at the far end of my garden at home. It's in a raised bed I had used for veg previously, but not needed now with allotment used now for veg growing. @italydiva
@emch there are hundreds of varieties. We mostly only see the Cavendish variety, sold in shops & supermarkets
That’s good to know. If I fail to overwinter mine at any stage, I shall bear that in mind. The hardier the better with me!
Good choice re the garden…you’ll get to enjoy it more 👍🏼
Thanks Angela. The other advantage of not having it at the allotment is that if it gets very big over the summer, I won't have the major puzzle of fitting it in the car to bring home! @italydiva
If its as Hardy as you say. I'll have to get it for myself
