First Thai plant collection ........cacti 😁 Well at 10 Bhat each (approx 30p UK) it would have been rude to say no! They're probably the only thing that'll survive 🤞 until next time I'm here!
Cheers Kerry. I was tempted to get more, but will next time I'm here. That feisty one has got roots already coming out of the base of the pot. With a good soaking, I'm hopeful they'll be ok on the balcony until the rainy season starts in May 🙏 @kez001uk
I hope it doesn't get too big for its pot! I've got them in a shallow tray to catch any rain, but not too much. There's been no rain at all while I've been here, but I'll give them a good watering on Thursday before I set off home. @kez001uk
Nope, not one drop. Never known that before here. Even in the dry season there's the occasional shower. I can't believe how fast it's gone too. Don't want to come home! 😞 @kez001uk
Strangely the far south here has had flooding, while the rest if the country is far dryer than normal. It really feels like home now staying in the apartment rather than a hotel room! Even more so I imagine when the house up north is ready. @kez001uk
I think the locals were getting worried in the main part of the country with the lack if rain. I saw a few dried up streams & ponds. The rainy season is many months off too. The southern strip died get a lot more rain, but this time way too much @kez001uk
@jeatacake sounds like the way of the world, an abundance of riches at one end and desperation at the other. Never any happy medium in any aspects of life 😔

What a bargain they were! Love the one back left. Looks like a feisty fella!

@jeatacake it looks like the front runner from the size! They should do ok. Takes a lot to kill a cactus! 🌵

@jeatacake no rain at all?? How lucky! Can’t believe you’ve been there almost a month 😜 time really does fly!

@jeatacake the weather is going weird everywhere by the looks of things 😐 I don’t blame you not wanting to come back, it’s freezing and bleak 😜

@jeatacake absolute extremes by the sounds of it 😕 poor people 😔 I’m glad you settled in so well! Just imagine how much better it’ll be next time 😁
