Fritillaria Imperialis making an early arrival despite the cold.
Morning Nicola...blimey thats early, weathers totally bonkers this year 🤪
I couldn’t believe it either Julie. Just hope they survive to flower. A totally bonkers year in all respects. Have a lovely Christmas in your new home. x @juliesgarden
Thanks hun 👍🏻👍🏻🎄😘
You are so clever I never got mine to survive for a second year.
Lots of things sprouting early this year! Could these be alliums perhaps? They don’t look quite like fritillaria to me 🤔

Update 21 March. Orange Aurora now colouring up too 💛🧡
I must get some for next year 😍
Mine are way behind!!! 🧡💛
No Dan. Yours are probably just right. Mine are way too early @dan5584
Fabulous 🧡💛🧡
Never had much success with these wish I did as they look so exotic.
I’m in the Notth too so maybe give them another Joan. Plant them on their sides to stop rain rotting them is one tip I picked up @joannie.a
@jendren thanks for tip mot tried that. My grandson was so desperate to grow them he asked all the growers at Harrogate for advice followed it all and still lost them 2nd year. But no-one mentioned side planting.
Here’s hoping that helps Joan. I’ve got them in pots as well as in the border. Maybe he could try pots if he hadn’t already. Good luck. They are worth it @joannie.a

Promises of what’s to come! Loads of little buds still curled up inside. And the wacky baccy smell is starting already 😂
Hmm no sign of mine! Need to check again🥴
Funny thing is the ones I put in the flower beds are way ahead of the ones in pots which are only today poking out of the soil @valjones-hughes
My first one has just come through the soil, but yours looks more ahead! Not long now before flowers for you 😁
Good news for yours Richard. . I can’t believe how advanced mine are @richard.spicer.7906
Checked this morning, and actually they are all popping up now, can’t wait 😁
Hurrah! @richard.spicer.7906
Some nicer things I found in the garden today
