Ive nicknamed them LazySusan this year because they have been slower blooming and are smaller than in past several years. #blackeyedsusan

😉. Mine too, if it's any consolation. My largest patch still hasn't opened up yet, though they look like they've been ready for over a week now.

Oh so beautiful. You can't go wrong with black eye Susan in your yard.

An added bonus is that black eyed Susans are home to several species of moth and butterfly.

Beginning to bloom and coming soon #blackeyedsusan

Mine too. They aren't the showiest flowers, but they stay around a long time and add color. Blooming flowers are always a welcome sight! 😉

I wanted to get these the other day but I got scared! Lol

They will be open in another day or so. I leave them alone and they are very hardy.

@uaskigyrl Black eyed Susans are nice because they're perennials and they'll spread to fill in an area. I'll post a pic of mine later - they have completely filled in almost the whole space of my back porch.

@brimbporter really?! Do they require full sun?

@uaskigyrl they like full sun but mine do well with part to full.

Agreed, part to full works, but full sun is preferred.
These are the hardiest, latest-blooming surprise autumn flowers 🌻 #autumnflowers #yellowflower #rudbeckia #noweygardens
