That's looking a lot better than mine. Not one has come up! 🤥
No, they are different, but the seedlings may look very similar though, especially at this stage. @columbiariver
Weird. The encyclopedia had them both listed under this name. Should I make a new entry? @jeatacake @columbiariver
@jeatacake they were slow to germinate... Wait and see?
@columbiariver mine too were labeled godetia. I just did a Google search and it lists clarkia as synonymous for godetia, which is probably why the plant encyclopedia had them linked. If someone creates a new encyclopedia entry or finds a better one, tag me so I can change this. I couldn't get enough info to create one myself. @jeatacake @daisy-jane
Hi all 🙋 these did confuse me as I didn't realise clarkia and godetia were one and the same 🙄 mind you it doesn't take much to confuse me nowadays lol 😂😂😂😂 @jennlamaye @columbiariver @jeatacake p.s love your profile pic Jenn 😍😁😘👍
Certainly a surprise to me too Jane. The only "Clarkia" I have ever seen have very different flowers from what I know as "Godetia". Just googled it & was amazed @daisy-jane We live & learn! 👍
I had no clue Jeff @jeatacake we definitely live and learn lol 😁👍
Oh my goodness! That means I was the first to know?! Lol! That just made my day! 😉😁❤️☺️😆 @daisy-Jane @jeatacake

Godetia?
Interesting. The encyclopedia lists them together. I can't find enough information online to create a new encyclopedia entry. If you create one, will you tag me so I can edit this plant? @jeatacake

Godetia plant grows 12" - 30", depending upon variety. The plant grows quickly. It blooms in the spring, in just 30 to 60 days. It produces Azalea-like blooms. Colors include white, pink, purple, lavender, and red.
Godetia are grown from seeds. Godetia seeds can be directly seeded into your flower garden, or started indoors four to six weeks before the last frost date in your area. Sow seeds early in the season, and cover lightly with 1/8" of fine garden or potting soil. Ideal plant spacing is 16" -20". Godetia plants do not like to be crowded.

Those are sooo pretty. He has some gorgeous flowers. He sent me some but one in particular I’m very excited about growing. I really need to get started seeding. I bet your already done. I admire your energy when it comes to gardening. Can you send me some plzzzz. Love ya 😘😊💕
I meant energy 🤣😅😉😉
@terrimclaughlin I’ve only started a couple. We have potential for frost until May 10th (last frost) so I can’t get started on too many until March 15th. (They’d get too leggy indoors if I start earlier.) But there are some slow growers I wanted to try. Keeps me busy. Now, if I had your greenhouse... 😁. Lol. There would be no stopping me!
@jennelamaye if you go to Amazon.com/greenhouses you’ll find their not that expensive and now at this time of year their probably on sale. I’m order my other one probably Monday
