Help me identify this plant. 🙂 #PlantID - do I wash it off? Soak it before planting?
#plantid-succulent @jennlamaye some succulents have a light powdery coating on them; like yours do - do not brush it or wash the powdery coating off. Once it’s gone, it won’t grow back. This coating actually protects the succulent from harsh sunlight. This is an Echeveria but not sure which. No need to soak. Maybe tap away the old soil and untangle the roots before potting
Aww sad! The tissue they were wrapped in disturbed the coating. Oh well. I wanted to try to propagate them. 💕 @veepaisal
@jennlamaye that’s fine. In fact that looks alright. For plants with powdery coating I try my best not to touch the leaves with bare fingers. Your Echeveria looks like if there’s sun stress, the tips will show Pink/Red
@hannahchristine do you know what kind of #echeveria this is?
Looks like ghost plant @jennlamaye
@Muzz67 this is the mother plant the leaf came off of. Not sure if I identified it correctly though.
Silver Queen could be right? Look here 😁 www.crassulaceae.ch/de/artikel?akID=48&aaID=3&aiID=S&aID=980
@Muzz67 oh my golly!! That site will keep me busy for hours!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hehe I use it all the time as its the only official register internationally and shows flower pics which is how you can be certain of an id.Google and Pinterest can be very misleading sometimes.Good luck 😁
