@daisy-jane 💕 these were probably my most favorite new addition to the garden. I planted them so I could see them outside the kitchen window. (So I could admire beauty while doing the dishes. Lol) Thank you ever so much! I'm saving seeds for next year. 😁

@jennlamaye have u grew these before? Was reading these can turn brown in summer from the heat. Wondering how true that is as I'm hoping to be using sweet peas on my gazebo walls n ceiling but not sure if it will cover efficiently.. thx

Hi Samantha @perennial_lover I'm no expert on these lol but I did grow them in a big trough planter last year up bamboo cane's,none of mine turned brown until they'd finished flowering,I kept them watered well so they didn't dry out,I think if your going to grow them up a gazebo and want height don't pinch out any growing tips like you would normally for them to bush out your probably better off leaving them intact but just putting more in to get a fuller look, what about wisteria or clematis

Good suggestion Jane! Thank you 💕 @daisy-jane

Your welcome hun, think a clematis or something like that would cover better, sweetpeas tend to look messy as they're going over 😁😘👍

@perennial_lover They are very vigorous & once established grow to 2 to 3 metres tall here. In northern UK climate they only starting die off in autumn. I just cut them right back & in spring they start again. As @daisy-jane says, if you want permanent cover, these are not the best choice.

@terrimclaughlin first time good me trying to grow these. They actually grow on their own everywhere around here, but I love the smell. I do need to find a good spot to put them. @terrimclaughlin

@bigemrg I wetted a coffee filter, put the seeds on it and folded it over, and placed in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator. 😉 Good luck! Let me know how it goes! It only took two weeks for mine to germinate. Quite surprising!
