Jenn, What kind of pen marker are you using on your labels? My markings came off. @jennlamaye

Sharpie. But I noticed it wore off on a different milk carton label... I think some brands are slicker than others... If you want an extra bit of protection, get some clear packing tape and tape over the writing. That holds out longer. @kimguy

That's what I used and they all came off. I was going to cover with packing tape and decided not to. Fortunately I know what I labeled.lol Will look into #paintpens

Let me know how that goes. I've noticed only two or three of mine wearing off, and I don't know why. @kimguy

@treefrog44 would you pot these up now, or wait till I plant them outdoors in pots? #popcorncassia

I would bump it up in a bigger pot 😄

Thank you Theresa ❤️ @treefrog44

#popcorncassia #seedlings don't like being misted. Need to water from the bottom. Might need to relocate them while other seeds are germinating.

Only 4 days to germ?? @jennlamaye

Fantastic! @tinaaune

Oooh looking good. Coincidentally, I just potted on my seedlings of these. Hope they can adapt to our climate!

Sweet! @jeatacake Can you tag me?

No photo yet but will do when I post one👍

Thank you @jeatacake 💕

Look at my babies @treefrog44 😁 These were the coolest things to germinate! Instructions said it was like simulating a fire. Poured boiling water over the seeds then soaked them for 24 hours. They sprouted almost immediately! ❤️

That's awsome!!

#companionplanting Try mixing it with pink cosmos and orange dahlias for a bright burst of color, or use it with yellow dahlias and snapdragons for a sophisticated monochromatic color scheme.

Popcorn cassia can be grown from seed, but for use as an annual it is more typically purchased as a rooted cutting. Seed will germinate more readily if soaked in water for 24 hours or scarified mechanically or in boiling water. Sow shallowly in February or March.

@cyndi @jennlamaye I carried a bunch of doors this week! (I'm a house painter and we take them off the hinges into a room where spray them) the solid expensive ones get heavy! @cyndi

Hahaha. Had to read that twice! @cyndi @lesliecole49 💕

I know Cyndi, I was making a play on the words because I did carry 'in-doors' and the suckers do get heavy 😄 @cyndi

I’m only funny when I don’t mean to be. 😉 @lesliecole49 @cyndi

@cyndi delirious exhaustion tends to help...

I don't know what's going on with my #popcorncassia 🙁 I've lost one already, and this one is going down too... @treefrog44 any ideas?
Never grew them indoors, could be too wet 😕
Could be. Darn!! I think I lost all of them. It's funny because the seedlings looked so similar to the peacock flower pride of Barbados, but these all foundered after I potted them up. I'm so sorry! 🙁 @treefrog44
I have lots more seeds! @jennlamaye no worries... do you need more?
@treefrog44 I would love to try a few outside. Do you sow them in spring or fall? Thank you! ❤️
In the spring, they won't survive freezes... I will send you more, they grow pretty quick, so as soon as your weather is consistently warm you can get them going outside :) @jennlamaye
