Hepatica is starting to flower. White one is not far behind

I love this plant but it really needs a better name LOL

@emch I totally agree! Hepatica nobilis sounds better but still means liver😂

Clearing off the old leaves and out popped this!

Looks like a Green Shield bug, maybe.#joanboston. They feed on plant sap and leaves of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants.

Morning! Love the deep colour of this little hepatica

It’s beautiful Joan 💜💜💜

Absolutely gorgeous. I Wishlisted this last year when you posted it but never found one. I shall have to try harder 😂

We got ours at an alpine plant show, you can get them online too from people like Edrom plants in Northumberland. Trouble with that is the postage is often more than the plants😂 Jacqueline @awomanonabike

Stunning colour Joan 👌💜

Morning Joan...it’s just fabulous 💜

Thanks Joan. I’ve not heard of Edrom 🤔 Might just have to take a look at their site 😃

Wow 💜💜

It’s a fabulous place but rather remote to visit. We’ve been a couple of times but they are often at small plant fairs @awomanonabike

I’ve just taken a look. I will have cycled past it on my way to Edinburgh a couple of years ago 🙄 Mail order is the way to go I think!

I put these on my wish list yesterday, they are so lovely 💜💜

@pelly I’m going to be looking for some other colours Jane, but maybe not the ones that cost £70!!

Maybe not Joan 😱😱

#hepatica

An really pretty flower, like the flower colour 💜

Lovely 💜

That’s so lovely Joan 💜💜

Isn’t it Jane? It only had three flowers last year, but looks like there’s more this time. Another inspiration from GardenTags @pelly

Beautiful!

My first ever hepatica. It’s tiny! But exquisite

It is incredibly beautiful- well done! 😍

Beautiful flower 💜💙

Gorgeous little flower..💙

Oh, stunning! Mine disappeared over winter unfortunately! 😀

Beautiful flower Joan 💜👌

Morning Joan , that’s beautiful 💜💜

Oh that’s a shame. This is in a pot but it’s been outside all winter in rain and snow. Just moved it into cold greenhouse to protect the flowers @bigemrg

It’s gorgeous

That is an absolute stunner!

I had mine in small pots, buried in a raised bed! They were fine outside for the last couple of years but not this year for some reason!

That's absolutely beautiful Joan 💜💜
Such a vivid blue this one. I love it
It’s a gorgeous colour 🤩
Love that colour 💙
