Wowzer! Had to share this with you, saw a tip on Pinterest about this...don't discard unwanted end of celery... I stuck this one in a jam jar with half an inch of water and two yes TWO days later it's regrowing! I'm going to wait until it starts to form some roots then I'll pop it into a nice pot of compost for it to come on. I'm absolutely loving this kind of 'rebirth' experience, have done it before with pineapple crowns but would love to hear about any other plants that I can do this with 👍
@Joannegardenutopia Fascinating result & so quick. I did this with dill a few years ago but not in water just put the stumps directly into compost. I let it dry and harden first to stop it from rotting. I got 2 beautiful plants. Like you I've done it with pineapple I have also grown quite an interesting plant from a swede, carrot & parsnip top. I think the world's your oyster in these trials. 👍🏻👍🏻
