Hi! I find I can control the conditions in pots better but if you have a garden bed that doesn't have full sun but gets a few hour a day they will go well there😁
@brightcolours We have had a look at the plant and it would help us greatly to verify the name and identify it once the flowers are open. It’s best to wait for more than half the flowers to be fully open before attempting an identification. Once they are fully open, we will need a photo of the entire bract, the outside of the flower and the inside of the flower. Other things that can help is if the photo is taken in natural daylight and is in focus.

@jodes17 they can do well in both. I have a friend that has got lots of frillies on the ground and they look amazing as they tend to grow really big.
