After a bit of judicious pruning and removal of over self-seeded Nigella the grass comes to light 🙂

Please help me identify this plant, it was dug out and finally heading for the skip when I noticed it: a dried out sorry looking item with a pot shaped root ball. I think it's a fescue but I'm often wrong PlantID

So do I, the other is one from the last house this was in residence. Are they the same do you think? @pelly

They are definitely similar but this seems to have that touch of blue. I’m not very good with grasses though 🙄 let’s ask Keely @keely👍

I'm with you Keely, it does look very similar. Wonder if I should cut it down like the Mexican feather grass? 🤔 @Keely

Give it a go I would I just thin mine out but it still doesn't do much can't like my clay soil think with it been silver they suit rockeries better
