Have never thought about it @linfoster . I keep them away from the radiators and let them sit on south facing windowsills or near south facing Windows . I think they need lots of light. I'm not at all precious about them , really just water them every 10 days or so and let them get on with it . When I go away I move them all into my kitchen table together for watering by friends . I have four or five of them and there is usually one in flower or about to flower most of the year .

I keep it in my lounge / drawing room but I haven't had this one very long . It was a present two weeks ago. I let it dry out and water a little at a time , not letting it sit in water at any time . I have two or three white ones ( which I like best ) that I have managed to keep for three or four years now . I have managed to get them to flower each year by cutting the flowering stems back by about a third each time after it flowers .

I find that if the stems die back too much I just cut them off and the plants throw out another new flowering stem !
