It's an amaryllis, isn't it??

Looks like it but where are the leaves?

There are no leaves. My son bought it for me but doesn't know the name. It has flowered once then it died off and another stem shot up

I agree it's an Amaryllis (Hippeastrum). They tend to produce their leaves once they've finished flowering.
