I love growing unusual and interesting things and am teaching my son to love it too. I have a tiny mostly potted garden in Newcastle NSW.

Vaccinium corymbosum 'Sunshine Blue'

@errolly a bit of a sprinkle but not enough :( spent the day pruning out all the damage. Grrr. I lost a few lovelies... A dahlia and my geum! Very cross!!!!

Will it survive? How do you plan on reviving it, Kathy?? My plant is a bit scorched too 😭

Oh that is a shame Kathy I am thinking I will have to invest in some more sub tropical plants if this keeps up we are heading for 30 plus next week as well roll on Autumn.😊

It has been a harsh summer. My maple has a lot of scorched leaves. I leave them on so they protect the rest from some of the sun and wind and so I don't trigger it to form new tender growth

@Pushkraj nej's plan is a good one - leave the scorched leaves to protect the rest. The burn was causing branch atrophy so I had to prune back below the dying sections. Sometimes I've left the deady bits but then the new growth has come in and gotten all tangled with the dead. Very much depends on the plant. I think it will be fine - unfortunately not the first time this has happened.

That is great Kathy. Are they in the ground or pots ? Do you have bird nets over them ? Also, how long did it take for them to mature ? Sorry about all the questions. I would love to grow them but I thought they would be difficult 🍒🍒

I just had a look at your # tag blueberries so I see you do net them. And they are potted.

@deekay They are all in pots with rose potting mix and fed with azalea feed. U have to water them more than in the ground but there doesn't seem to be any issue. They took about 5 years to start producing really tasty fruit. They r netted but only because the noisy minors vandalise them (break branches not eating fruit).
