A beautiful Fuchsia! Do you trim it back later?

@rhododendronmad in late autumn I half cut it down then they go in summerhouse over winter and in early spring I cut it even more back I don't know if its the early Spring heat we had this year that's helped bring it on as all my fuchsias are thriving this year. Thank you 💞

Awe so it's in a pot! Mine is in the ground so I cut it back in autumn every other year. Not so full this year as I cut it last year. Don't know if I'm doing right or not! 😁😲

They do like a lot of feed one I've got in garden only just in bud so think they seem to do better in pots and they prefer part shade oppose to full sun 😆 @rhododendronmad

@rhododendronmad fuchsias in the ground are better cut back in the spring when you see new shoots at the bottom. The old growth helps protect them from frosts during the winter. Hope this helps.

I have a confession. I never knew there was more than one type of fuchsia. Learnt a lot today.

@Charlotte to be honest, it's only been last couple of years I realised. I'd thought they were all purple with pink. 🙂

Their so beautiful I just love them. They sell them here in early spring and u enjoy them about 3 weeks then the heat comes and they just can’t handle it. I meant to try to have one inside at a good sunlite window. Their just sooo pretty And your so lucky to have so many 😊💕

@terrimclaughlin awe that's a shame but yes they are not a fan of heat n direct sunlight, mine are in part sun\shade so do quite well but are needing to be watered twice a day at the minute due to drought 😮
