Hacked this one right back to nearly base year before last and sacrificed flowers last year paid off for this year its full of flowers and a better size for my small border 😆 #skimmia #dontbescaredtocutrightback

The poor Skimmia has had a haircut, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, hopefully will repay me next year. Flowers were going over and its never been cut back before. On a positive note found my Salvia and Nepeta shooting up hidden by the leaves 💚😄👍

Does anyone know if the birds eat the berries from the skimmia mine is now been cut back but loads of berries on it so don't want to throw them if they do???

@Keely Hi Keely. I have to say in my experience they don't. And birds are evidently attracted to red berries first, followed by orange then yellow ❤️💛

Well its back to work tmz and a night out straight from work 🍸🍹 Really enjoyed getting stuck in garden last couple of days still didn't get finished but did get lots done. After yesterdays sun this skimmia has really opened up. 😍 Have a good evening. 😄

Help me identify this plant, this is the first time this has flowered and I have no idea what it is but loving it!

Is it a Vibernum, perhaps? @keely

@kerrysnail its not like my other vibernums as i have them in back i think it maybe a skimmia which is very similar

@keely Ah, yes. Perhaps it is a Skimmia Foremanii if it has red berries 🙂

@kerrysnail yes its got red berries do you know if the flowers change to berries as i dont want t dead head it if they do!!!

@keely I imagine the berries come after the flowers but I will check tomorrow .... 🌺
