Look here what the wind did to the honeycrisp apple tree limbs on Friday night. What do I do with the limbs. Do I stake the limbs up.

If they're broken you might want to prune them back. Are they broken?

No they r not broken. @emch

Nice! I usually look for pears and apples grafted onto a m9 dwarf rootstock.

What is a natural way to get rid of Japanese beetles? Mix 4 tablespoons of dish soap with a quart of water inside a spray bottle. This simple solution makes for a great, all natural Japanese Beetle pesticide. Spray on any beetles you see on or around your lawn & garden. @KariSamuel

Yes. Just what I said, but a bucket with them falling into it is a very permanent disposal, where a spray bottle is not.

@KariSamuel I looked it up on google.

@KariSamuel Can you spray soapy water on plants? Gardeners often make homemade insecticidal sprays from dish soap and water, and the spray helps to control a number of common garden pests. ... Usually, small amounts of well-diluted dish soap don't hurt flowerbeds, and soapy water is better than no water for plants during a drought. Does Dawn dish soap kill Japanese beetles? Japanese beetles, in their adult stage, can be killed in the lawn using dish soap. The soap dissolves their exoskeleton

@KariSamuel Will cayenne pepper keep Japanese beetles away? Sprinkle dried and crushed red pepper or cayenne pepper onto slightly damp leaves of the plants and onto the soil around them as well. The capsaicin in the pepper can help repel the beetles.

Dawn dish soap and water... that is what I said the first time! But spraying them won't work! It startles them, they fly off to other plants... I have been gardening for over 35 years Kelsey. This isn't my first rodeo! Crushed pepper must be applied nearly daily & it also repels the good bugs! Good luck.

Remove them! Tap them into a bucket of water and a bit of dish soap to drown them! They are going to destroy your tree!
