Very eager! I think sometimes when you buy new plants they come from the greenhouse and set flowerbuds early. My liatris is almost showing flowrerbuds and is not supposed to flower till August and September.

@ublaszko a little frustrating when there’s still potential frosts that can damage the buds 😣 Liatris are so beautiful! Can’t wait to see your photos 😍 hurry up and flower!! 🤣

And I'm still keeping liatris in a pot and bringing it in overnight 😂 I planted out verbena bonariensis last week which was already quite big because it was growing indoors since February and then at the weekend we had terrible gales 😓 In the end I had to cut it back and hope it sends new side shoots.

@ublaszko I don’t blame you. The temperature at night still isn’t great 🥶 your poor verbena 😨 it should make a full recovery right?

I chatted with a neighbour few doors down today and we both commiserated over clay soil. He said he's been trying to dig up a border in his back garden since October and he's only finished it this week 😯 I felt a bit better that I've decided instead to dig planting holes directly in the lawn 😁😂😂
