Love this poppy the colour is fantastic. A few year back I had a load growing. They attracted so many hoverflys there was a clowed of them along the path that would part as you walked down.

@alan1111 they’re great insect magnets aren’t they 😍 I’d have been too scared of the hover-flies to walk through them 🤣
Really! Afraid of hoverflys. Their harmless won't even land on you 😅 one of gardener's best friends

I used to have oriental poppies for years. When we redid the deck we let them go. Planted another last summer. If it comes up it should be pink of course. 😍
At first they do but you get to recognise them after a while. Maybe you'll get over the fear of them and enjoy the garden to its fullest. I enjoy sitting in a middle of them as they fly around me. A few minutes well spent 😂
