#foliagefriday

Love it!ππ

@ShelleySnyder so glad you and others on here made me see the value in foliage plants. They really add so much π

Yes they do! I'm glad you are into foliage!π€ππ

Garden is looking lovely Kerry beautiful plants π @kez001uk

@vinny3000 thanks Gary π little bit of sun is doing wonders isnβt it π

Welcome Kerry and sun working wonders on me not just the garden lol π€£ @kez001uk

@vinny3000 Iβm glad to hear it π does make you feel a whole lot better when itβs warm and we can get outside π

Its doing my aching bones the world of good and hopefully speeding up my recovery Kerry. Be glad to get back to some proper gardening before too long with a bit of luck . Getting some done but i keep seeing stuff that needs doing but not allowed yet lol π€£ @kez001uk

@vinny3000 Iβm so glad itβs helping π had no idea you were restricted in what you can do. I remember you saying earlier in the year youβd not been well, is it the same thing still giving you trouble?

A few years ago i had a bad accident Kerry and broke my back in two places . As times gone on the pain in my back my hip and legs has got a lot worse and i have mobility problems. Ive just had an operation on my knee and one on me back which will improve things a bit hopefully but ill never be fully fit. Im on a hell of a lot of medication all the time . The garden is my getaway from the pain even though im limited with what i can do most of what i do is in pot @kez001uk

I have a fantastic nephew for doing any digging or heavy manual work for me. I love the garden and its a great escape from the daily pain . And i must say seeing all the photos on here and the friendly chat keeps me smiling . Thanks to everyone for that . And as i always say theres a lot of people worse off than i am .π€£π @kez001uk

Thatβs such a nice color. It probably looks bluer in person.ππ

@terrimclaughlin thanks Terri π it really doesnβt photograph well. The colour is much more blue in reality π

@gjones oh wow, that must make one pretty lawn! Would never think to do that, great idea π

I love the colour and texture! I've been thinking of getting it for the past 2 years but I just don't know what I would plant it with. I find blueish and silvery green plants difficult to blend in with other plants. They really want to be thr stars of the show ππ

@ublaszko true, itβs definitely trying to be the focal point π itβs so pretty though, you know you want one ππ

I keep seeing it at Xmas market and local market stalls in winter so I might end up getting on this winter. Not much else to buy at that time of year π

@ublaszko thatβs as good a reason as any to get it π

#fescue #fescue-glauca

@lovestogarden thanks Janice π

@ukjohnny thanks John π just wish my phone captured the blue better π

Cataloguing

!I've this ππ

@pelly itβs gorgeous isnβt it! Trying to add a bit of variety now the flowers are gone and donβt really know what Iβm doing but figure you canβt go wrong with a blue grass π

I bought the same festuca last spring. It is very easy to propagate by dividing it. Now l have three of them. Try to combine it with blue flowers such as pansies or blue primroses

@jasabe I think the one I got has already got a natural divide so hopefully can get 2 to start me off π and I have some blue violas I just bought so Iβll try those with it, thank you π

I bought some in lidl. I hope they will grow. I'm worried because 20β°of the stuff I do get don't survive or are more or less dying like disease. Can't prove it so no refund #lidl
I got that huge grass too. It'll take a few years to get to 4 meters ha
@jamescallifer hope itβll grow for you too. Theyβre lovely grasses, great colour π
So do I. I want to harvest some seeds from 1, cause the seeds I had used were 5 euros. Eeeek
@jamescallifer ouch π well if I manage to get any Iβll let you know. Iβm not the best at seed collecting π
We should exchange emails, then addresses, then gardens. Lol. I love harvesting seeds. Easy, allow to seed, wait till dry then ship to your friends, hint hint π
@jamescallifer Iβm a little too enthusiastic when it comes to deadheading π but trying to be better at leaving a few things to go to seed π
