@KOutdoors me too! They seem to be in every bit of hedgerow I walk by at the moment 🤩 they are so simple but all the more beautiful for it 💖
@KOutdoors have been shocked at how big the bees are this year!
@KOutdoors more honey 😋😋😂
I have a ginormous one of these at the allotment. I've already had 2 severe hacks at it but it's still huge with branches which arch over everything. I can't tell you how many scratches I've had from it!
@jeatacake they seem to grow with buddleja-type speed 😂 glad mine is staying small in its pot! Even dealing with a little one causes enough injury so I can only imagine the damage yours has done to you 🙈
It's been a real pain.....literally! I need to keep at it to gradually reduce it down. It's obviously been left for many years there to get completely out of hand!
@jeatacake will look so much better for being cared for too 💕 you really have been left with some tasks at that allotment!!
Indeed! I've definitely got well past the worst of it now. Main task now is constantly tackling weed seedlings 🙄
@jeatacake those big invaders will try all they can to take hold again 🙈
I never knew how fast dock seedlings could grow & form a long tap root within only a few weeks!😱
@jeatacake sounds like you’ve got your work cut out with those! 😱 speedy buggers!

First time I’ve ever seen one of these in person 🤯 #rose #rosa #dog-rose #rosa-canina #diplolepis-rosae #robins-pincushion #moss-gall
Aren’t they fabulous. I’ve never seen one either 💚💚💚
This is a rose!?
That's a rose? 🤯
Wow. I would never have guessed that was a rose. 🤔
That's very cool👍
A rose? Never seen one like that 🤔💚💚
@pelly such intricate little things, and colourful too. Amazing 💚
@emch @alan1111 @hkyfvr @cowdenkyle @midnightgardener it’s on the rose but is actually a growth caused by a gall wasp larvae. They don’t harm the plant thankfully but are amazing looking things! 😛
#curiouscases #exoskeletal
Wow. That is so cool. Learn something new every day on this app 👍💕
@gjones they’re fascinating to look at 🤩 wasn’t a very big one but going to leave it to see how it changes over time 😛

Sweet and delicate. Lovely flower 🌸🌸
Such a lovely delicate bloom 🌸
@hkyfvr it’s such a simple looking thing and flowers only last a day but I adore it 🥰
@italydiva they really are delicate, here one day and gone the next. Just makes you love it more 💕🤍
Sometimes simple is the prettiest 🌸
@hkyfvr couldn’t agree more ☺️

They look perfect the whole plant looks so healthy 👌
Very pretty. Love this one 💕💕💕💕
@alan1111 thanks Alan 😛 it’s such a pretty little rose. My Nan grew it from a leader she had on one of her rose pots. Think the rootstock was prettier than the rose they’d grafted to it 😂
@midnightgardener thanks Christine 😀 just a shame the flowers only last a day 😐 plenty of them fortunately 💕
@kez001uk Oh no, I didn't know that. A bit like Rock Roses then. Such a shame 💕💕
It's often the case Kerry 😜
@midnightgardener I didn’t know that about rock roses! Makes them even more beautiful they they’re so short-lived ☺️

So pretty 😍😍 I really want a wild rose!
WOW. Really pretty 😊💕
@ublaszko perfect colour flowers for you 😁 I usually deadhead this but after repotting I left it to settle and saw these forming ❤️
@terrimclaughlin thanks Terri ☺️ they’re a nice little bit of added interest now the foliage is dropping
I like how delicate and simple the flowers are 😍
@ublaszko no fuss roses 𗁳
Sounds great! I noticed my miniature rose is looking a bit poorly by now. It seems to have developed black spot and some sort of other leaf damage (possibly thrips or green flies) but it's at the bottom and at the back of the shrub so I only spotted it by chance yesterday. I think it got too dense and not enough air flow because I didn't prune it this spring, I just trimmed it lightly to keep more height but it seems to do better with a proper spring pruning.
@ublaszko oh no 😩 was looking great this year too, even if not too miniature 😂 the weather has been ideal for all these powdery mildew and fungus type things 😟 hopefully it’ll be ok when it regrows next year 🤞🏻
Fingers crossed. I don't think I've been very consistent with using Rose Clear this year and quite a few plants had black spot, powdery mildew etc this year. I actually noticed my garden is not as bad for that as the university gardens so I didn't even realise until recently how bad it could get because of the weather this year.
@ublaszko it’s so much to keep on top of and when they’re looking ok you tend to not spray. After you said about yours I checked my roses today and the same has happened to a couple. The ones with dense foliage 😔
I walked past roses at the university and each leaf had black spot 😱 I thought my rose was bad 😰
@ublaszko that’s devastating 😔 hope they can deal with it 🤞🏻

What kind is that... is it a rambler..
I'm saving it to my wishlist as I want to add another rose to go with 'Peace' 🌸
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom it’s a dog rose Elaine 😊 my nan took a cutting from the wrong end of her rose so ended up with a rootstock cutting 😂 not that I’m complaining, it’s lovely. Flowers no end and grows so fast too!
@ublaszko your peace rose is so pretty 😍 would match up nicely 😋
@kez001uk I’ve just asked about one of those...I think I would like one for the side recess on the front...I’ve seen a lot around maybe I could take a cutting 🤔
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom would look lovely and they’d fill out in no time! This was literally from a leader/sucker from the bottom of a rose so might be worth trying if any of yours have them
@kez001uk I’ve just discovered there’s one round the corner near the beck....so tomorrow I’m going to see if I can nick some for cuttings 👍🏼
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom covert cuttings 😉😂 hope you can get some 🤞🏻

Love these roses with simple pastel flowers 😍😍😍
I do too!
@ublaszko it was a cutting my nan took me but she took it from the rootstock rather than the top part of the rose 😜 still, I prefer this one anyway 😛 shame the blooms don’t last very long ☹️
@lesliecole49 beautiful in its simplicity isn’t it ☺️
I thought it might have been a dog rose 😆👍 I was thinking of taking cuttings from my rose when it sends out suckers from the rootstock. Must get on to that this year.
@ublaszko this is only a couple of years old too and flowered last year. Wouldn’t take you long to get them blooming in your new residence 😛
Roses seem to come to flower pretty soon, just not a lot of flowers in the first few years. But these dog roses are very vigorous so they should get established really quickly
