Cut back almost to ground level in June. Back with a vengeance! 😍 #potato-tree #solanum-crispum #solanum-crispum-glasnevin

So very pretty. 💜

Really pretty flowers 💜💛💜

They are such strong plants. Cut my Mum’s one right back and it’s gone ‘boom’ again! 🤪 Beautiful canopy of purple blossom!

@gjones thanks Katy 😀 I often wonder if these did come from potatoes. Know they’re in the family but the plant itself is much tougher

@hkyfvr @pelly thank you both 😃 so delicate looking for such a beast of a plant!

@nix81 they’re one of those virtually indestructible plants 😂 love how fast they grow and the flowers are so pretty 😍

Very welcome 😄

Ahhhh….. that’s what it is! Took a cutting from a friends bush 3 years ago. Very slow growing and still less than a foot tall🤔

The flowers are lovely. Where do you find such unique and wonderful plants 💜

@Davidward 😅 I’m glad you’ve got a name for it now 😛 once yours is established it’ll grow like wildfire! From being a foot tall when I got it this grew over the fence in a matter of weeks and had to be cut back numerous times throughout summer 🤣 the white one is even worse 🙈

@hkyfvr thank you Diane ☺️ this I actually saw growing in a neighbours garden. It was creeping over the fence, growing like a bush, absolutely covered in flowers. So had to find out what it was and get one 🤣

Very welcome Kerry. Of course you did. 💜

Thanks Kerry….. looking forward to the spurt 👍

These are great for fences. My white one seems to bloom all year round
