Beautiful. So it’s either Dendrobium kingianum var. alba or a hybrid of it. Btw- I saw you have two kekis (baby plants growing off the main plant), i would leave them attached so you can have a specimen sized plant in a few years, but after about a year- you could remove to have more plants. You will usually get kekis when you water too much through the winter rest. And if you just got this as a gift and didn’t know- it would explain the kekis.

@jlsardina thank you so much! I had no idea. I was given 2 orchids, the other I don't what it is either. You have been so much help! I removed one of the kekis and planted it as a bit of an experiment (very novice of me) but it seems to be doing well so far 😄

@kittydakota just make sure it is secured well in the bark so the roots can take off. And make sure it’s not too deep in the bark either and you should be good to go!

#dendrobium native Australian orchid. They do well in a fork of a tree.

I agree. It looks like a Dendrobium kingianum or has it in its parentage. Most likely it is a hybrid of some form. Most likely will have pink flowers. It needs a partial winter rest (no fertilizer and cut back on water) and is going to need to go into the mid to high 40’s (F) to flower.

We won’t be able to give a definitive ID though until it has flowered.
