This was one of my favourite photos of 2016 - a self-seeded #poppy going to seed. Was growing through the middle of the #campanula but I left it til flower #2016
I love that 👏👏 it looks like a piece of jewellery very pretty 😊👍 @kyleleonard

Self-harvested from my poppy. Will be listing this bag of seed on the #seedswap2016
Added to seed swap. Guessed at 100 approx but I'd say there's more

And saving my poppy seeds too 🌱
Do you not have to dry them out first? Apologies still a newbie
I take them when they start to form holes in pod - only wet due to rain. If I stored them in plastic I risk them rotting. The envelope will hopefully absorb any moisture. Also don't want them to self-seed which they are close to doing @Cloud9
Ok I see. Does that work with other seeds like my squash!?
The seeds are quite hard anyway, so the pods dry and then it'll just pour out with seeds. Not sure about squash. Like nasturtium seeds need drying on a paper towel to stop rot as they dry out over time @Cloud9
