4/14/19 about to behead this one
Gorgeous Plant !!! I've seen other people also post about doing that. Is the purpose so it comes back bigger etc ?
@sherrisgarden thanks! I’m cutting mine because the stem is getting pretty tall. Many people will behead their succulents if they get too stretched out due to lack of light (etiolation). I cut a portion of the top off, took off some leaves to prop, and made sure it had some stem to grow new roots. The remaining stem and original roots will stay in the original pot and might send out a few new little rosettes.
Ok Lauren thanks !! Makes sense to me.
That's a beautiful echeveria! 😍

1/26/19 super fast grower. It has almost completely cycled through the new leaves since the last photo
Love the rotational symmetry of this!
Wow 😍

There's a little leaf with two points on it. Kind of unique!

Nice and compact with pink blush. Doing pretty well!
I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest morning beauties that I have had the pleasure to see. 💗
@Yollymac thank you so much! That means a lot from you since your collection of echeveria is so vast and so beautiful. This little one has come a long way and has been patient with me while I learn how to care for succulents. I'm lucky to have kept it alive 😅 thanks again for the lovely compliment!! ❤️
I think you are doing a fantastic job, considering you are learning to care. Virtually undisturbed farina (powder), wonderful shape and colouring. Don’t sell yourself short. 💗 Thank you ever so much for your compliments on my plants - that’s so nice of you to say. xxx

The lower etiolated leaves keep drying out and the new top growth is compact and healthy with the cute pink edges.

The bottom leaves are still drying up, but the top growth is healthy
This is gorgeous
@MadKatrina thanks! I had to treat it for pests so the farina got a little messed up, but it's looking better as it grows out 😊

The new growth is nice and compact and the older, etiolated leaves are drying up. Starting to take a normal shape!
