Apparently in late 80's early 90's these trees were some sort of scam regarding timber production due to their quick growth (told by gardening group I have on facebook 😦)
For myself it is about their beauty and their power as something good for our environment.

@lilium I would imagine same family of trees, so yes guessing speedy growth.
I'm certain I have sighted one on my walking route, so might need to collect a seed or 2 @plants
But this one is much prettier than tomentosa! 💝
