Not sure what kind of #echeveria this is but its so pretty and beginning to flower! Got it at lowes in a big hanging planter on clearance! Guessing itll be easier to ID once it's done flowering but figured id still try posting now. #succulent #succulents #succulentid #plantid-succulent #plantid-echeveria
I love that one too!! I also recently bought one from lowes! Can you tell me how often to water and do they like alittle morning sun or more sun I'm starting to grow more succulents now because of the weather here in Texas. Need some advice
I'm a bit of a newbie myself but generally most succulents enjoy 6 hours of direct daylight (you might need to slowly adjust them to it if they've been indoors or in shade, and I dont know how texas is doing but the intense summer heat here in vegas it making things a bit complex for adjusting my plants haha) and very well draining soil. Water only when the soil is completely dry and your plants show signs of being thirsty like wrinkly lower leaves. You can set a wooden skewer in your pot for a
Hour or so then pull it out to see if it absorbed any moisture. Or just stick your finger an inch or so in the soil to see how wet it is. Generally you shouldnt be watering more then once a week and even then that can be enough to cause rot for some plants in some conditions @terrimclaughlin
As for my plants in the summer heat I have most of them set up to get mainly direct morning sun, maybe a bit of direct midday sun, and then indirect light for the rest of the day. The ones that weren't coping too well with the heat have been moved into our shed which only gets direct morning sun then shade for most of the day until the temperatures die down a bit, also have a rolling cart to bring plants inside and out more easily as they adjust to the intense heat :)
Also I should've tagged this a while ago and was planning to on an upcoming post of my toms thumb that lost some lower leaves but any heatwave advice for succulents would be appreciated! #succulent-heatwaveadvice #succulent-heatwave #heatwave
@levalar. Thxs for all that info. It's going to really help. One thing I do like you I always have skewers lol I like them also for aragating my soil in my planted pots and any earth worms that I find after a big rain!!! Works out good for my plants and the worms. Thxs again, hoping to do it tomorrow I'll take a pic
8/29 - Still not sure what this echeveria is but it's grown so much since I got it ❤ hopefully I was successful with the cross pollination as well and will have some little babies to take care of soon 🌵🌱 there's photos of the flowers (they were yellow) here and in my Sedeveria Sorrento's gallery if that can help anyone with an ID 😊 #plantid #succulentid #plantid-succulent #echeveria #plantid-echeveria #plantid @Muzz67 @disneyfacts @succulentandfriends
Maybe a dondo? I feel like it's too blue and the tips are too pointed for that though 😅 next best guess is elegans 😊 Edit: Looking back at the Sorrento pictures with the flowers I'm thinking elegans of more likely as it seems they became pink with yellow tips as they aged, could still be way off though 😆
Perhaps not E.Elegans as leaf is too pointed. Very pretty though. Its too big for E Secunda too 😐
Ok second thoughts it could be E.Secunda Have a look here at the link to this awesome Aus site bit also it could be E.Albicans ? http://echeveriasinoz.net/S.html
What a beauty! 😍
Amazing Colour. Emitting some kind of God's light 😊
