First of my #nasturtium is growing!🌺 🌱
What are these eggs on the back of my nasturtiums? #eggs #nasturtium
Caterpillar eggs! Watch out, they'll eat them down to skeletons 💀
@Tara_H I don't want to harm the caterpillars so what do I do? 😰
Tbh I usually scrape the eggs off before they hatch, but you could do like @Mikekally and sacrifice a plant or two for them...
(I would feel more guilty about it if I hadn't already hand picked about a hundred caterpillars off my poor chewed nasturtiums...🙄)
@Tara_H I will probably let them live. I feel too bad as the butterfly mum keeps landing on my shoulder 😂
😂😂😂
Haha aww! @lewis8232 I relocated all mine when they hatched into caterpillars onto one cabbage in a pot, away from the veggie bed, and kept adding any others I found. They annihilated the cabbage but everything else was untouched - and now we have lots of butterflies!
@Tara_H although, two edged sword. Now I have lots of butterflies laying lots more eggs... Hmmmm
@Mikekally I might try that 😂
@Mikekally @Tara_H Um.. problem solved. The heavy rain last night washed away the eggs and now they're buried under the soil somewhere. 😓
I'm sure there will be more where those came from!
