Hi. I'm looking for advice for my Hydrangea. It hasn't flowered for two years now. I took cuttings from it and the cuttings are flowering but the main plant is bare of the blue flowers it once had. It's fed and watered so I don't know what is wrong with it...I do keep it in the shade as well. Any ideas would be appreciated ...thank you

lower leaves look yellow. means low nitrogen. plant seems small for 2 years. try repotting in new soil & continue fertilizing with hydrangea fertilizer & leaching occasionally. if you have hard water could be affecting pH try using rain water

Have you checked for pests? Aphids, spider mites, scale insects? They also suck out the nutrients and will make the leaves look yellow. I don't think it's the soil ph as the leaf veins would be darker than the rest of the leaves. Try spraying against aphids, scale insects and spider mites and see if that helps. I use insecticide but you could use whatever is your method of choice 😊

leaf veins would be darker if magnesium or iron deficiency. just yellow indicates nitrogen. no obvious signs of insects. @lindylou86 @ublaszko
