@richard.spicer.7906 thank you! Yes I had zebra in mind but I couldn't place it. I bought it for a terrarium plant but it got too big so I've left outside.
I haven't tried this one but have been successful with another by dividing. Make sure at least one leaf on stem and root. Plant in pot and keep moist. If cold area cover with mini hot house of some kind such as plastic bag @lisebee
Agree with @Shephes - I think that's why my mother plant died as it was too dry environment. We grow these as house plants in the uk - I did manage to save some small shoots by division and fortunately these have have taken. Keeping them surrounded by a reservoir of water now to keep the air humid around the plant. 👍🏼
It's been unseasonably hot in Melbourne the past couple of weeks and very humid. This plant has boomed, I feel like it gets bigger everytime I look at it. Now I'm wondering whether I should bring it inside in a few weeks when it starts to get cold? Well actually being Melbourne that's tomorrow! It will be 33 today and 18 tomorrow?!?! 😄 @richard.spicer.7906 @Shephes
When I did some reading up on this plant to create the database entry for GardenTags, one of the sources of info I found was that it needs minimum temperature of 15 degrees centigrade, it would be safer to bring it indoors during the colder months I think. 👍🏼
Help me identify this plant
#pots
It looks like my house plant Calathea zebrina. The leaves look exactly the same pattern 👍🏼

No probs 😀
Love the foliage. Mine just keeps giving as long as it's protected from the hot summer sun
@Shephes and @richard.spicer.7906 have you ever tried to divide them and do you have any advice?

Also they love humidity which is why the terrarium was so successful. They don't like the cold @lisebee but aren't they wonderful
