@lit that looks like Parthenocissus quinquefolia rather than tricuspidata. I spent 20 odd years living with it around my bedroom windows, and the occasional visiting large eight legged denizens it served as home for!
@gardengimp it is very possible the garden centre that sold it to me were confused as the label said both Boston Ivy and Virginia Creeper and I think there is a distinction.Whatever it is it climbs and goes red like I wanted, so I'm happy 😊
@lit that's the GC hedging their bets :) They're in the same family but Boston ivy has three lobed single leaves, hence tri-cuspidata, and mature Virginia creeper leaves have five individual leaves, a quintet, hence quin-qefolia. They're both beautiful, this one having the better colour range in autumn. Enjoy! :)
