Portulaca oleracea

Does anyone know anything or have experience with this stuff? Supposed to be lots of vitamins and minerals packed with omega 3 fatty acids rich in dietary fiber anyone??

This is an edible plant that flowers!? I have this growing rampant in my flower beds, takes forever to pull them all. I thought it was an invasive weed. I grew up being told it was red weed, and to be careful with disposing them since they spread like wildfire. I will take a picture when they spring up again to make sure it's the same plant. 😅

@gjones I almost cried when I saw this growing in my flower beds. Growing up on my parents farm we had two giant vegetable gardens where we had to pull these by hand so they wouldn't keep spreading. The worst! 😥

It is indeed edible and very nutritious. I have a friend who likes to scavenge during the summertime, and he loves this stuff.
