Looks great. @lyn3104 they love bright indirect light. I have two under grow light and two in a west facing window behind shades. @jacaranda I’ve had great success placing the seed in a ziplock bag with perlite and sealing it with air and in full indirect sun. They seem to sprout weeks sooner than in water. Also, I peel off the husk on the seed.

@rudester1 Thank you for the advice. I’ll peel mine and put it in a bag as you suggested 👍😀

You’re welcome @jacaranda the plants I have in my west facing window I have on a heat mat and they’re producing larger leaves than the ones I have under the grow light without the heat mat. With all plants the root systems are large because I started them all on the heat mat when I transplanted from the ziplock bags. I’d say as long as there’s a constant heat of about 68-72 to the pot (soil and root system) then you’ll have great success. Also I mix 2/3 citrus/cactus mix with 1/3 orchid mix.

As I’m bound to forget what you’ve told me @rudester1 I’m tagging this post so that I can refer back to the advice later! #avocado-propagation 😆 Photos will follow if I’m successful 🤞😂😍

@rudester1 @jacaranda it took it about 2 months for any life to show, I kept it in a ziplock with a wet paper towel until a little root showed up and then transferred it too water. Have you ever kept yours completely in water @rudester1 ?
