It looks like you are growing right on the grass, @martyramos . I'm doing the same. What's the reason for the ground cover? Is it to keep the melon from getting soft on the ground? I'm growing mine on the edge of the yard. The vines are growing onto the cement. I was thinking about putting something under the vines .
