THAT 👏 IS 👏 ADORABLE!!!! 😍😍😍 #plantgoals I hope mine looks like this someday! Do you take care to not get the fluff wet when you water? Mine seems to get a bit crusty and discolored when I water, but my hose water is pretty mineral heavy. 😬 Also, is that a catbus hanging out next to it?? 😂

@beatnikcrab No special care. You can try spraying some hydrogen peroxide onto the fluff to whiten them a bit, though I’ve never had to do that myself. Yes that’s a catbus 😂 The good news is you shouldn’t have to wait very long, I got this plant as a 2” pot 3 years ago

That's a good tip abt the hydrogen peroxide! I wouldn't have thought to do that. Thanks! 😁 Guess I'll just keep doing what I've been doing besides that, and hopefully someday mine will be similarly fluffy and adorable. Thanks again! ✌️☺️

Quick repot. The new pot is a little large but this cactus grows quickly so I’m not worried. I always root prune severely and lightly dust with rooting hormone, mostly for the antifungal properties; not sure whether this is the right way to do it but I figure it’s better to remove the longer, fine roots outright than to have them kink up and die out of sight after repotting.

Beautiful plant, and pots. Wondering what type of drill bit. I bought some diamond drill bits on line, but they take a while to get the job done, and some pots have wore the bit out before the hole is made.

@cpl721 It’s a diamond hole drill bit, the first one that comes up on Amazon. Should be less than $15 for an entire set. Have never had to replace and goes through glass, stoneware, anything in less than two minutes!! Only trick is that you must keep the tip wet while working.

@mauspad I believe there the ones I bought, and I think my problem with them is I didn’t know they had to be wet. Thank you for the info! Going to try again tomorrow.

@mauspad tried drilling holes again using water, and keeping it wet did the trick! Thank you for the info!
