I don't know how to tell ya this, but that's an echeveria called Morning Beauty.
Indeed, not sure why I've been so reluctant to update it honestly. Thanks as always for the info @DonNotDonny
Anytime. 👍🏻

#metalica progress
@KelsiBriana I'm pretty sure it's a metallica. Could be that the wrong tag was in it when I bought him but it definitely said metallica on it. More then half the reason I took him home was because I thought the name was so cool. If you scroll through he used to look a lot more metallica-esque but I could be wrong for sure.
@KelsiBriana it's certainly possible it's something else as your not the 1st person on here to question the name. I'm certain you'd definitely know better the i would lol. I've always just went by the tag. Maybe it's been morning beauty hiding in plain site this whole time lol 😅
Indeed I shall when i get a chance this evening. I'll keep it updated based on my finding and thanks so much again @KelsiBriana

I beheaded one of mine how long did it take yours to root?
@S1 not to sure really but it wasn't long. I know they need a bit more water then usual at that stage but he seemed to reestablish himself quite fast( within a week or two I believe). The flower stalk had already just started to peek before the 'chopping'
Ty! I beheaded my Echeveria hybrid - Graptoveria Fred Ives. I’ve been on the watering as I planted it in premium succulent mix...here’s for hoping -fingers crossed 🤞🏼
@S1 happy to help if and when I can. Best of luck with your fred ives, hopefully the season will be kind 😉
😘🍀

Kind of freaking out just a little bit but I'm sure she'll be alright. Going to repot in a day or two. Thanks again @Soph1e and @lissoms for the assistance, much obliged.
great job! you can remove some of the lower leaves if you like, then you’ll have a little more stalk to put in the dirt. let it callous for a few days before repotting. it will root and be happy ☺️
Sound advice I'm sure. I'll definitely try and leave 1"-1.5" of stem exposed before I repot. Thanks again I'm more then a little new at this. This has been a big help.
Well done @mbsh! I've done it lots of times and I've never lost a plant but I still get nervous. Try not to worry too much, succulents are incredibly resilient plants.
Thanks @Soph1e you've definitely put my mind at ease. Too true as well, they are thankfully for me, indeed in incredibly resilient 😊

Should I be chopping this guy up and repotting the pups? I fear I may be out of my depth on this one but he's my oldest plant so any advice would be appreciated.
seems like it’s doing fine, but if you wanted to take cuttings and repot them, it’s a matter of aesthetic preference. 😊👍 by the way, this looks a lot like echeveria subsessilis ‘morning beauty,’ are you sure of the ID? (i’m not certain, just asking!)
I would be inclined to cut the stem, allow it to form a callus and then repot it. The bottom part of the plant will continue to produce new pups so you'll have even more plants. https://www.succulentsandsunshine.com/stretched-out-succulents/
Thanks so much for the advice. I'll prob try a little maintenance then I think. I'll update with pics as it unfolds. Definitely a metallica @lissoms 100% positive. I bought him because I loved the name 😉
